Happy OCTOBER! Who doesn’t love fall weather? To me fall weather is the prettiest season! I love all the colors of the leaves and decorating my porch with pumpkins. Not to mention pumpkin pie, pumpkin lattes and caramel apples—YUM. Besides all that fun stuff, I enjoy wearing fall makeup colors. I was always into the golds, browns, and wine colors for fall. Recently I was gifted an amazing collection by Kosas Cosmetics and I was surprised by how pigmented their makeup was. Kosas Cosmetics is cruelty-free as well which is great. I enjoyed the products so much I had to write about them. On their website Kosas states, “Our clean, skin-loving, botanical formulas and expert color pigmentation honor the beauty in every layer of the self. Their products are formulated with effective ingredients to help nourish and bring out your skin. I will dive right into the products I tried and what I thought about them.
I swatched their tinted oil foundations in shade 03 and 04. Since my skin tone is more olive, I found that number 4 worked perfect. The coverage is medium and they carry 10 shades you can choose from. I found the tinted oil to be dewy and very hydrating as it contains various oils such as jojoba and avocado oil which are soothing and nourishing for the skin. Their tinted face oils are formulated with botanicals which help your skin appear more youthful. Since my skin type is combination, I found that by setting my t-zone area with loose setting powder it helped the oil stay put longer without drying out my skin. This oil is very beneficial for those who don’t like full coverage or thick foundations, or if you have dry skin.
The second product I received was Kosa’s liquid eyeshadows. Let me describe these a short phrase—HOLY PIGMENT! I was so shocked by how pigmented these eyeshadows were and not to mention creamy. One swatch was all I applied to my eyelids and it was so smooth and creamy looking. The colors I received was globe which is a neutral champagne shade and the other I have is called supreme which is a warm-glittery gold color.
The two lipstick shades I tried are Violet Furry and Rosewater. Rosewater is a sheer, cooler tone on the pinker side of nude and Violet Furry is a satin magenta shade. The lipsticks both were moisturizing and formulated with oils to help moisturize the lips. In the package they sent a tinted lip balm that is formulated with hyaluronic acid. I applied that overnight and my lips felt so soft the next morning.
My favorite product from this collection was their blush and highlighter duos! Not only were these duos extremely pigmented, but they blended so nicely with much effort at all. The shades are gorgeous as well. The colors I have are Longitude Zero (matte) and 8th Muse (creamy). You can find this lipstick HERE
Overall, I am very pleased with this brand and liked the entire collection. As always, all reviews are based upon my honest option. All items were gifted. My favorites were the eyeshadow and highlighters. If you are interested in checking out their site or want to shop their products, just click HERE!
